Biography

Denise Patton and Big Mountain Arts

Denise completed a Master of Arts Degree in Printmaking and Book Arts at the University of Northern Colorado.  Denise's undergraduate studies were completed in Interior Design and Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin. She has completed informal studies in the book arts and papermaking at Minnesota Center for Book Art and Anderson Ranch Art Center.  Denise has studied painting at Laguna Gloria Art Museum in Austin and at the Arts Students League in Denver.  She has served as an artist in residence and served as a teacher in a  post secondary art school.  She has served as a studio assistant to public artist, Richard Posner, to paper maker Ray Tomasso, and stone sculptor, Perry Davis.  She owns and operates Big Mountains Arts, a fine arts and museum exhibits studio
